Nature-based solutions for water infrastructure that nature provides free of charge

Nature-based solutions for water infrastructure at your service. “Natural water infrastructure” is not built infrastructure. Rather, it is formed, developed, destroyed or accumulated by nature over time. It refers to the services that nature provides free of charge, such as mangroves that protect beaches from storms (nature-based solutions), peatlands that separate carbon, wetland leaching pollutants, lakes that store large water supplies, and floodplains that absorb excess water runoff.

Nature-based solutions

Nature-based solutions, these natural water services act as infrastructure and are called “nature-based solutions”. Working with natural infrastructure—provided it is healthy—can enhance the performance as well as the financial returns of engineered water infrastructure such as dams, dams and reservoirs.

For example, when upland forests are left intact, trees will control the flow of water and soil, which in turn protects reservoirs from sediment buildup, reduces costly cleanup efforts and conserve electricity and production is guaranteed.

However, natural water infrastructure is not always accounted for and, as a result, is often marginalized in gray infrastructure projects. This can have negative social and environmental impacts. It could also reduce the natural adaptive capacity of river basins to deal with climate change, thus impairing their resilience.

Nature for students and children

Nature is an important and integral part of humanity. It is one of the greatest blessings of human life; However, humans nowadays fail to recognize it as one. Nature has been a source of inspiration for many poets, writers, and artists for many years. This remarkable creativity inspired him to write poems and stories in their glory.

He really gave importance to nature which is reflected in his works even today. Basically, nature is everything we surround ourselves with such as the water we drink, the air we breathe, the sun we absorb, the birds we hear chirping, the moon we see, we see and much more.

Above all, it is rich and vibrant and includes both living and non-living things. So modern day people should learn something from the people of the past and start giving importance to nature before it is too late.

The importance of nature

Nature existed long before humans and since then has taken care of humanity forever. Meaning, it provides us with a protective layer that protects us from all kinds of harm and loss. Without nature, the existence of the human race is impossible and man needs to understand it. If nature can protect us, it is also powerful enough to destroy the entire human race.

Every form of nature, for example, plants, animals, rivers, mountains, the moon and much more is equally important to us. The absence of one element is sufficient to wreak havoc on the course of human life. We achieve our healthy lifestyle through the healthy eating that nature gives us. Likewise, it provides us with water and food enabling us to do so.

Rain and sunlight, the two most important elements for survival, come from nature itself. Apart from this, the air we breathe and the wood we use for various purposes is a gift from nature. But with the advancement of technology, people do not care about nature. The need to preserve and balance the natural wealth is increasing day by day which requires immediate attention.

Nature conservation

To save nature, we must take immediate drastic steps to prevent any further damage. The most important step is to stop deforestation at all levels. Cutting down trees in different areas has dire consequences. This can easily lead to soil erosion and can also lead to a massive decrease in rainfall.

All industries that directly pollute sea water should be banned because they cause so much water scarcity. Excessive use of vehicles, air conditioners, and ovens releases a lot of CFCs that destroy the ozone layer. This in turn causes global warming which causes thermal expansion and melting of glaciers.

Future generations

Therefore, whenever possible, we should avoid personal use of the vehicle, switch to public transportation and use cars. We must invest in solar energy while giving us an opportunity to replenish natural resources.

Finally, there is a powerful transformative force in nature responsible for the conduct of life on Earth. It is essential for the human race to thrive, so it is our duty to preserve it for our future generations. We must stop selfish activities and do our best to conserve natural resources so that life on Earth can be nurtured forever.
